What is chemical peeling?

It is an aesthetic treatment that involves the careful exfoliation of the skin using an acid. The acid removes a uniform amount of damaged skin cells across the treatment area. When carried out appropriately, this allows the skin to heal, with minimal scarring or colour changes as a result of the treatment.

A chemical peel is a skin treatment that can reduce sign of aging, acne, scarring, wrinkles, and sun damage to give the skin a clearer appearance. They affect two layers of the skin the epidermis and the dermis 40% peels are great for obvious signs of ageing. These peels work superficially into the epidermis.

The series name ‘AMESON’ comes from the Greek word ‘AMESOS’ (i.e. immediately), which indicates their commitment to skin care based on aesthetic medicine and to offering IMMEDIATE results. AMESON MESOPEEL is a professional chemical peeling system based on organic acids aimed at rejuvenating, regenerating, hydrating, normalising, activating or enhancing the skin. There are many types and varieties of chemical peels, grouped and defined by strength and depth of the peel that is achieved.

AMESON Peels

The AMESON range is superficial peels, which are the mildest peels.

We can group the peels into two categories: AHA and BHA. The main difference between them is that BHA’s are oil soluble and AHA is water soluble. Oil soluble makes this acid very effective in cleaning and removing bacteria, dead skin cells and sebum oil from deep inside the pores.

They would be more suitable for an oily/congested skin due to it being oil soluble, this type of peel can reach into clear excess oil and loosens the dead surface layers. These peels have minimal healing or downtime.
